Athletes on the field at sunrise

Core Programs

Three Pathways
to Excellence

Our Philosophy

Development That Goes the Distance

Rising MVPs programs are not add-ons to the athletic experience — they are integrated into the rhythm of a student-athlete's year. Each of our three pathways targets a distinct dimension of leadership: internal character, civic responsibility, and guided mentorship.

Athletes do not choose between programs. Every Rising MVPs participant is enrolled in all three simultaneously, building skills that reinforce each other across the academy, community service, and one-on-one mentorship. Together they form a complete framework for developing not just better athletes, but exceptional human beings.

Program 03

Athlete Mentorship Network

GuidanceConnectionGrowth

One-on-one matching between student-athletes and professional mentors — former college and pro athletes, coaches, and executives — who guide mentees through goal setting, college planning, and career exploration over a 12-month structured relationship.

The Matching Process

1

Profile Matching

Athletes complete a detailed profile covering interests, goals, sport, and college aspirations. Staff use this to identify 3–5 compatible mentor candidates.

2

Intro Meeting

Athletes and potential mentors meet in a facilitated group session before committing to a 12-month pairing.

3

Structured Relationship

Pairs meet bi-weekly with a goal-tracking framework provided by Rising MVPs staff. Monthly check-ins keep mentors and athletes on track.

4

Culminating Presentation

At year's end, athletes present their growth and next steps at the Rising MVPs Leadership Summit in front of mentors, family, and partners.
